Synod approves new Childrens worker
Thursday, 24 June 2010 14:02

The Diocesan Synod this year approved the restructuring of DDYC to incorporate and fund a Children's worker.
Up until now the role of DDYC has been to offer direction and support to the role of the Diocesan youth officer, being responsible for the youth work in the Diocese. Now however, DDYC may become DDYCC - Down and Dromore Youth and Children's Council.
This exciting time in our Diocese is to be welcomed, and the vision of our Synod and Bishop in creating such a post must be applauded. There is no further news on when this will happen, however there is no need to go back to Synod to approve anything more to do with this post, so an appointment process may begin soon. Keep your eyes peeled!
Finally, we would ask you to commit this to prayer. Praying for guidance and direction in the appointment process.
